Flutist Vytenis Gurstis, prize winner of many national and international flute competitions, studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London with prof. William Bennett and holds two Masters degrees from his studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne, Germany - solo flute with prof. Robert Winn and contemporary chamber music with prof. David Smeyers. In 2004-2009 he was the recipient of a scholarship from M. Rostropovich’s fund „Support to Lithuanian Children“. Vytenis is active as a chamber musician and is also a member of the woodwind quintet Quinton and flute and harp duo H2F. He is currently a PhD student at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, member of the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre Orchestra, teacher at the Balys Dvarionas’ music school and lecturer at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre.
